Burial At Sea

Many of us survivors were transferred to the USS LST 739 on 25 July. Subsequently two of our shipmates died on the LST. On 26 July 1945 the officers and crew of the LST conducted a burial at sea ceremony. Chaplain F. L. von Husen USA from the 96th Infantry Division conducted the service. Our two shipmates that died were; CY Alphonse S. Dinardo and S1/c Willis P. Knight. The following is that service.
